Shred services options

Hello, 

I was wondering if there is a credit union out there that utilizes a shred service that is done offsite and if you can direct me to guidance on what is acceptable? The cost for the onsite shredding services has increased and management is looking for options.

We've had this service done onsite for years and would like to get some feedback on what other credit unions are doing. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
