Wanting to know if any CUs might have a SAFE Act procedure document/template that could be shared. We have a policy, but am looking for procedures that address which employees are required to be registered; length of time after hire date before registration process begins (if applicable); training requirements, etc.
We have universal employees and I believe all member facing/assisting staff (to inlcude phone center staff) should be registered - just makes it easier for HR (dept responsible for registration); Training dept and for employees as they are less likely to be noncompliant in discussing RE rates with members. Our new hires have a 90-day probabtion period, so I don't believe we should register until after that period (exceptions would be positions of Branch Managers and above - not as much turnover in these position is the reason).
