I'm wondering if anyone is getting push back from your management regarding the Personnel section of the procedures guide. Our entire payroll process is extremely confidential, like no one can know what anyone else is paid, and HR/management are not really wanting to share anything with me. Do I demand the information or allow someone else to say they have looked at it and be satisfied with that? I have the ability to review employee account history to look for suspicious activity but have never been allowed to see a payroll journal.
Any advice is appreciated.
FYI, we just hit 200M in assets and I am the only internal audit employee.
