Interview Questions for Potential Internal Auditor

We are in the process of hiring our first internal auditor and are wondering if anyone would have some ideas of questions that we should ask during the interview process. I am the current internal auditor but that job was just added to my current duties. My main roll is compliance officer so we have never had to go through the process of hiring an internal auditor before. Any help or guidance that any of you have would be greatly appreciated.
