Does your credit union use an interactive teller capture to process branch checks? This process allows checks taken at the branch to have the image captured and, in conjunction with our core processing system, balanced to the teller’s check received totals. We also use this process to create the cash letter file.
If you use this process, I would be interested to know what security procedures are implemented to secure the checks until destroyed. Especially since there is no encoding on front and back which makes them appear unprocessed.
