Does your credit union give cash as employment service awards or cash equivalents (gift card) as a drawing/give away to employees? We recently had a corporate wide training event in which they drew names giving $25 cash prizes. For those seasoned employees around 30 years of service a larger cash amount was awarded. Is the credit union responsible for reporting and taking out taxes? Does your credit union have similar situations?
